Work study assistants will provide support with a variety of daily office duties. These duties may include, but are not limited to: office reception, social media, publicizing opportunities and resources for students. As well as, planning and executing first-year experience events.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Answer phones and greet students and families visiting the office.
Assist with the publicity and dissemination of information regarding opportunities to students and faculty on campus via email, flyers, social media, newsletters, etc.
Design and distribute flyers
Create and publish content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Help plan and execute first-year experience events
General office work including: data entry, filing, scanning, copying, running errands around campus and other clerical duties as needed
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are required
Exceptional interpersonal skills are required, with a strong emphasis on customer service
Experience with social media is required
Experience using Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, Publisher, Photoshop and/or other design software is desired
Genuine interest in social media marketing and publicity are a plus
Creativity and artistic abilities are a plus
Reliability, flexibility, ability to take initiative, adapt to changes in routine and work independently
Detail oriented, with a willingness to learn
Must have the ability to handle sensitive information with the appropriate discretion
