Starting Pay Range

$45.00 - $52.50 - Hourly

Job Description:

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*

• Provide diagnostic services, clinical counseling and recommendations for pupils with special needs.
• Provide Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) as required in the student Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Observe students; assess, evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and write psychological reports and IEP goals.
• Participate in the decision-making process regarding appropriate/beneficial placement of students.
• Provide training, group counseling and collaborative interventions with the school psychologist as needed.
• Participate in Individual Education Program meetings with students and parents as needed.
• Provide parent counseling and training.
• Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.
• Participate in crisis intervention and/or risk management.
• May oversee the administrative and clinical supervision of school based therapist interns to ensure delivery of a thorough program.
• Facilitates active and on-going training of interns, which may include collaboration with various universities.
• Analyzes program effectiveness and implements strategies for improvements.
• Communicates monthly with Director of Special Education on caseload, program implementation, progress, program monitoring and evaluation.
• Maintain documentation of service provision related to IEP monitoring, service logs, billing systems, and work time and submit weekly, unless otherwise specified.
• Maintains knowledge of and abides by federal and state regulations.
