About On Demand Counseling:

On Demand Counseling provides comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment, supporting clients in Northeast Ohio through a wide range of services, from individual counseling to group programs.

Position Summary:

The Counselor plays a key role in supporting clients through assessments, case management, counseling, and crisis intervention. As a Counselor, you will work directly with clients, families, and community partners to facilitate continuity of care and positive treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Counseling & Case Management: Provide individual counseling sessions, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans that align with the client’s needs and recovery goals.
• Crisis Intervention: Manage crisis situations effectively, using de-escalation techniques and professional standards to support clients.
• Referral Coordination: Refer clients to appropriate mental health resources or higher levels of care as needed, facilitating connections with community services.
• Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients with various stakeholders, including courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services to coordinate care and monitor progress.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise and up-to-date client records, including assessments, case notes, and treatment summaries, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with program standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (for LSW) or Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling (for LISW, LPC, LPCC).
• Active Ohio license in good standing: LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, or LPCC-S.
