We are looking for a NA Chillers Materials Flow Director.
What you will do:
· Manage the design and execution of materials from storage point to the point of use.
· Manage all processes related to inventory accuracy such as cycle count, physical inventory counts, root cause analysis, and inventory adjustments.
· Oversee the operation of internal and external DCs, receiving areas and material handling.
How you will do it:
Flow design
Set direction and strategy to the Lean Logistics group to design everything related to how materials are storage and moved from point to point, such as, rack design, bins, transit paths, etc.
Lean logistics plays a crucial role in a factory by streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. It focuses on eliminating waste and optimizing the flow of materials and information, ensuring that the right product reaches the right place at the right time at the lowest possible cost.
Define, maintain, and improve material replenishment flows, signals, transportation modalities and standard quantities for all manufacturing lines.
Develop part flow from warehouse/factory and internal material supply to Point of Use (POU) using Lean manufacturing concept principles.
Collaborate with planning, quality, manufacturing, and procurement to define material safety stock, supplier ordering quantities, packaging configuration and standard labeling to streamline receiving, ensure quality and traceability and minimize repackaging and facilitate cycle counting.
Support key initiatives like Supplier Just-in-time, Kitting, and kanban deployment.
Optimize on-site and off-site storage and frequency of milk runs to improve replenishment velocity and minimize costs.
Support layout and facility planning.
Deploy JCMS standards.
Flow execution
Operations Management: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to increase productivity and achieve sales targets.
Staff Supervision: Leading and motivating a large and diverse team of employees.
Problem-Solving: Addressing unexpected issues in the distribution process.
Organizational Skills: Ensuring inventory is accurately tracked, stored, and distributed.
Communication: Interacting with employees, vendors, and management to build relationships with key stakeholders.
What we look for:
Required
Bachelor's degree required in (Industrial) Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Proficient reading, writing and communicating in English
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management roles.
