Description

The Presidential Leadership Scholars program is a unique and impactful initiative that aims to develop and inspire bold and principled leaders committed to addressing critical challenges facing our nation and the world. The program, a collaboration between the presidential centers of George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson, offers a six-month intensive curriculum that brings together mid-career professionals from diverse backgrounds and sectors. Scholars engage with former presidents, administration officials, academics, and business leaders, delve into presidential leadership experiences, and participate in hands-on modules focused on core leadership skills like vision and communication, decision-making, persuasion, and strategic partnerships.

Through this transformative journey, Scholars gain valuable insights, develop a robust network, and strengthen their leadership capabilities. They also work on personal leadership projects designed to address pressing issues in their communities or beyond, making a tangible impact. The program fosters a commitment to service, collaboration, and lasting positive change, with a strong focus on encouraging participants to work across divides and embrace diverse perspectives.

Flexibility

Presidential Leadership Scholars is a six-month, part-time program that requires Scholars to travel for five days at the beginning of the program and then one extended weekend per month to each of the four presidential centers. The program concludes with a four-day session and capstone module. The program is designed to be flexible enough for Scholars to continue working full-time while participating in the program.

Benefits

The Presidential Leadership Scholars program is designed to be a valuable learning experience for mid-career professionals who are already making a difference in their communities. The program provides tuition, housing, meals, and travel during the course sessions, allowing individuals to participate at no cost to themselves. This financial support allows leaders from diverse backgrounds and sectors to benefit from the program without any financial burden.
