eGenesis is a biotechnology company committed to addressing the global organ shortage crisis through xenotransplantation. They aim to develop an unlimited supply of safe and effective human-compatible (HuCo™) organs and cells using their innovative gene editing and genome engineering platform, EGEN™. This platform focuses on inactivating viruses within the porcine genome and using multiplex gene editing to create organs that are less likely to be rejected by the human immune system.
eGenesis is actively advancing several programs in development across solid organ and cell therapy, including lead programs for kidney and islet cell transplantation. The company has achieved significant preclinical milestones, including the world's first successful transplant of a genetically engineered porcine kidney into a living human recipient. eGenesis continues to collaborate with leading medical institutions and partners to bring their technology closer to clinical application and ultimately transform the treatment of organ failure.
Flexibility
eGenesis offers employees flexible work schedules, including occasional overnight and weekend shifts on a rotating basis, with comp time provided to accommodate these schedule changes. As essential personnel, limited on-call or availability for emergency response may occasionally be required.
Benefits
eGenesis offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being. The package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, with the company covering up to 90% of the costs for medical and dental. Vision insurance is 100% company-paid. Employees also have access to a 401(k) plan with a company match, paid time off and sick time, and paid holidays.
Mission
eGenesis is a biotechnology company dedicated to using its advanced gene editing and genome engineering platform to revolutionize solid organ and therapeutic cell transplantation for the treatment of serious diseases. Their mission is to eliminate the global organ shortage crisis by developing safe and effective human-compatible (HuCo™) organs and cells derived from pigs. They believe that xenotransplantation, or the transplantation of organs from one species to another, has the potential to transform the treatment of organ failure by offering a sustainable source of organs and potentially reducing the need for post-transplant immunosuppression.
Culture
eGenesis promotes a collaborative, rigorous, and entrepreneurial culture, emphasizing teamwork and a shared ambition to end the global organ shortage. They value courage, integrity, collaboration, excellence, humility, and curiosity, fostering a dynamic environment where employees are encouraged to think differently and embrace innovation.
