CDP is a global non-profit organization that runs a system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. CDP operates a global environmental disclosure platform, working with over 700 financial institutions representing over US$142 trillion in assets to encourage companies to disclose their environmental impacts. This data is used by investors and purchasers to drive corporate action. Their work focuses on climate change, deforestation and water security.

CDP was established as the ‘Carbon Disclosure Project’ in 2000 and has since broadened its scope to include deforestation and water security, and built its reach to support cities, states and regions. They are headquartered in London, but have regional offices and local partners spanning 50 locations. Companies, cities, states and regions from over 90 countries disclose to CDP.
