

Job Summary
Insulet is seeking a Systems Engineering Co-op to support the Design Verification process for medical devices. This role involves assisting in the design, execution, and reporting of engineering tests, as well as contributing to product development and issue resolution.
The position focuses on laboratory testing, simulated user scenarios, and verification activities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams within the Systems Engineering group.
Ideal candidates are engineering students in their final semesters with strong communication, attention to detail, and an interest in medical devices and product development.

The Systems Engineering Co-op, Systems Design Verification, will be integral in the technical design and development of Insulet’s products by supporting all phases of the Design Verification Process. The person in this position will be required to assist in the design, execution and reporting on engineering tests, for characterization and Design Verification, as well as participate in the documentation and resolution of product development issues.
The Position will report to the Systems Design Verification Leader, within Systems COE in Tijuana, Mexico.
Responsibilities:
Design, set up and run feasibility tests in an engineering laboratory environment.
Strong focus on simulated use testing that simulates typical and non-typical use of the products by end users.
Assist in / author product characterization and verification tests and report results.
Perform Verification Testing on various products under development.
Author product issue records and process these to closure.
Participate in Technical Reviews and Design Reviews.
Contribute to Systems team efforts by performing other duties as required.
Education preferent Requirements:
Enrolled in the last semesters of and engineering degree program from an accredited university.
Technical writing ability.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Personal computer skills, word processing, spreadsheet, database.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions and procedures.
Ability to generate and maintain accurate records.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated working knowledge of engineering principles and scientific methods.
General understanding of medical devices or other safety-critical technologies; a strong plus.
