

Senior Manager, Knowledge Management
Description -
Core Job Responsibilities
1. Knowledge Strategy & Vision
Own and execute the enterprise knowledge management strategy, aligned to business priorities such as customer experience, operational efficiency, AI enablement, and workforce scalability.
Define a long-term roadmap for how knowledge is captured, governed, reused, and modernized across functions.
Identify knowledge gaps that impact business outcomes and drive initiatives to close them.
2. Knowledge Governance & Operating Model
Establish and enforce governance frameworks for knowledge ownership, lifecycle management, quality standards, and review cadences.
Define a single source of truth model for internal and customer-facing knowledge.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all knowledge assets.
3. Platforms, Tools & Technology Enablement
Own and optimize knowledge platforms (e.g., knowledge bases, CMS, AI-powered search and retrieval tools).
Drive adoption of automation, AI, and analytics to improve knowledge discovery, reuse, and relevance.
Partner with IT, Data, and Architecture teams to integrate knowledge systems with core enterprise platforms.
4. Content Quality, Structure & Reusability
Set standards for content structure, taxonomy, metadata, and usability to ensure knowledge is searchable and actionable.
Ensure knowledge supports
Balance explicit knowledge (documents, SOPs) with capture of tacit knowledge from subject-matter experts.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Change Management
Lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Support, Engineering, Product, L&D).
Build scalable frameworks that enable distributed content contributors while maintaining governance.
Champion a knowledge-sharing culture and drive behavioral change across teams.
6. People Leadership & Capability Building
Lead, coach, and develop knowledge managers, content leads, and technical writers.
Define roles, responsibilities, and career paths within the knowledge management function.
Ensure teams are skilled in modern KM practices, tooling, and analytics.
7. Metrics, Insights & Business Impact
Define and track KM success metrics (e.g., time-to-answer, content reuse, search success, onboarding efficiency).
Translate knowledge metrics into business impact outcomes such as cost reduction, CSAT improvement, and productivity gains.
Regularly report insights and progress to senior leadership.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in product design & development, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
