About the Role
The Facilities Lead is responsible for facility operations, selected real estate activities, workplace services, security-related facility requirements, and infrastructure coordination for Harman locations in East/North Europe, with primary responsibility for the Lodz site.
The role ensures safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective workplace operations while supporting business continuity, site leadership, Global FM&RE standards, and regional facility initiatives. The position combines operational facility management, vendor and contract management, CAPEX/OPEX responsibility, audit and compliance coordination, space planning, and local prototype security responsibilities.
What You Will Do
Manage day-to-day facility operations, maintenance activities, and workplace functionality to ensure safe and efficient business operations.
Support regional real estate activities including space planning, occupancy management, and site coordination.
Prepare and manage facility budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), monitor costs, and identify savings and efficiency opportunities.
Manage vendors, contractors, procurement activities, service agreements, and RFQ/RFP processes to ensure service quality and compliance.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal regulations, health & safety, fire protection, and security requirements.
Coordinate audits, certifications, and compliance activities including TISAX and ISO standards, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
Act as local Prototype Security Commissioner and oversee physical security measures and restricted area management.
Serve as key interface between site leadership, Global FM&RE, Procurement, EHS, Security, and external partners while supporting governance and reporting activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, operational process enhancements, and support business continuity, logistics, and operational events.
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related discipline.
8+ years of experience in Facility Management, Corporate Real Estate, or technical operations within an international environment.
Proven experience managing facility operations, infrastructure services, vendors, service contracts, budgets, and facility-related projects.
Experience with CAPEX/OPEX planning, procurement, contract management, invoice review, and cost control processes.
Experience supporting compliance, audits, health & safety, fire protection, security, and business continuity activities.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, operational incidents, and cross-functional requirements in a dynamic environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Experience with TISAX, ISO standards, prototype security, automotive, engineering, R&D, or manufacturing environments is considered an advantage.
