The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026 when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

Role Overview:
Manager, Data Product & Business Solutions Development is responsible for promoting the development, governance and ongoing lifecycle management of business-facing data products, custom tools, reporting automation and BI solutions. Reporting to the VP, Business Analytics, this role translates business needs into scalable, reliable and easy-to-use products that help stakeholders access trusted information, automate recurring work, and make better decisions. Success in this role requires a strong product mindset, business consulting capability, technical fluency, governance discipline, and the ability to lead a team that delivers practical solutions with measurable business impact.
What You Will Do:
Data Product Development, Lifecycle Management and Governance
Lead the development and ongoing management of business-facing data products that turn trusted data, reporting assets and analytical capabilities into reusable solutions
Translate stakeholder needs into product roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, requirements, delivery plans and measurable outcomes
Partner with IS to manage product lifecycle practices from intake, design, build, testing and release through adoption, enhancement, monitoring and retirement
Define success measures, including adoption, usage, performance, quality, time savings, stakeholder satisfaction and business impact
Ensure products have clear ownership, support models, documentation, access controls and change management processes
Business Solutions, Custom Tools and Automation
Lead the design, development and support of custom tools, models, workflow solutions and automation assets that solve business problems and improve efficiency
Identify recurring manual processes, fragmented reporting and high-value pain points that can be simplified through automation, tooling or improved product design
Develop scalable solutions using approved platforms such as BI tools, Python, SQL, Streamlit, workflow automation, AI-enabled tools and enterprise technologies
Provide rapid prototyping, technical expertise and solution support for high-priority initiatives
Reporting Automation, BI Development, Productization and Self-Service Enablement
Lead the development, modernization, automation and rationalization of recurring reports, dashboards and scorecards
Productize BI assets into governed, documented and user-friendly solutions across platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce and other enterprise tools
Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, business definitions and user experience expectations
Reduce dependency on manual reporting by creating standardized data products, automated reports, dashboards and self-service analytical tools
Monitor usage, performance and feedback to improve adoption, design and business value
Stakeholder Partnership, Prioritization and Delivery
Build strong relationships with senior leaders, finance teams, business partners, analysts, technology teams and governance functions
Act as a consultative partner who frames business problems, assesses options and recommends practical solutions that balance speed, control and scalability
Manage intake and prioritization across competing needs, aligning work to business value, risk, capacity and strategic objectives
Communicate roadmaps, delivery status, risks, decisions and dependencies clearly
Establish rules of engagement for requesting, building, supporting and maintaining data products, tools, dashboards, automations and AI-enabled solutions
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
Lead a team that aligns with Fidelity’s values and collaborates effectively across functions
Coach employees, provide direction and feedback, manage performance and address concerns proactively
Support employee development with a focus on continuous learning, product thinking, technical fluency, governance, automation, visualization and AI enablement
Encourage skill development in BI, automation, dashboarding, data product management, requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder consulting
Set clear goals aligned to department strategy and business priorities
Execute the year-end performance and review cycle with HR Business Partners to attract, develop and retain talent
Drive engagement by promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture
What We are Looking For:
University degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience
Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop technical and business-facing talent
Experience leading data products, BI products, reporting automation, custom tools or business automation solutions
Strong product discipline, including intake, prioritization, requirements, governance, documentation, release and adoption
Strong understanding of data quality, visualization, automation and self-service analytics
Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, Salesforce or similar platforms
SQL, Python, KNIME, Snowflake, open-source visualization, workflow automation, low-code/no-code or AI productivity tool experience
Financial services, investment management or wealth management experience is an asset
CPA, MBA, CFA, Product Management or Data Analytics certifications are assets

For this role, your total rewards include:
Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $152,000 to $170,000, based on your experience and qualifications
