We are currently seeking a Project Manager to support our Gabon location.
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing project scopes of work, managing multiple stakeholders in the country of Gabon, managing consultants and subcontractors while maintaining positive working relationships for the success of the program. This position requires an expatriate assignment to be in Franceville, Gabon. The PM will coordinate multiple tasks, monitor schedules, track cost reporting, and maintain the integrated milestone schedule. The PM will report to the Senior Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Determine and define project scope and objectives.
Predict resources required to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
Track project costs in order to meet budget.
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, Work Breakdown Structure, and planning packages.
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
Monitor and manage schedule progress using Earned Value such as Schedule Performance Index and Cost Performance Index and make adjustments as needed.
Prepare contract reports to clients and stakeholders and present as necessary.
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. A master’s degree is highly preferred
Current Project Management Professional certification from Project Management Institute (PMI)
fifteen (15) years of experience in program management, with at least seven (7) years managing complex international construction, engineering, or technical projects of a similar size and scope. Demonstrated experience managing projects in OCONUS (Outside the Continental U.S.) environments is required.
Prior experience managing a diverse team of professionals CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS
Strong familiarity with project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, methodologies, financial forecasts, Earned Value Management, and best practices
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
Excellent analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness
Ability to work independently as required
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
