Process Engineer
As Process Engineer you’ll be responsible for executing process optimizations related to our (automated) logistics solutions in use. Together with the customer and colleagues, you’ll measure and report the performance of the customers process. By using system-generated data, you will analyze this performance, identify improvements and propose solutions. This could be both technical solutions (such as equipment modifications or software changes) and operational solutions (such as handling procedures and planning changes).
You will be coordinating root-cause finding for complex system errors as well as performance improvement studies and continuous improvement services. This also includes day to day operational steering on KPI’s. As a part of your work on continuous improvement, you actively identify improvements and modifications from the field and translate these into customer business cases.
Where requested you also support with the testing and implementation of the improvements. While doing, you will build a strong network within the service team as well as with the client. You’ll also develop tools as dashboards and methods to measure and monitor system and process performance.
Your profile
As Process Engineer you’re able to act on operational, tactical and strategic level. On the one hand you are able to communicate with service technicians and software experts about technical details and understand the activities of the operators on the site. On the other hand you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way on management level. You have strong analytical capabilities, together with an entrepreneurial approach in which you are responsible to take the initiative and make decisions. You have excellent communication skills and you are able to build good relationships with our customers, both in the office environment as on the shopfloor.
Your department
Within this complex network of processes, Vanderlande Service maintenance and optimization of a significant part the material handling system for parcels and Amazon. You will work together with other departments in the company such as the Global Service Desk, Process Engineers at other locations and operations. And you will work together with customers.
