Description:

Reporting to the Director of Acute Care, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population.
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) works under the delegated authority of a registered nurse to perform nursing functions within their scope of practice and assist the nurse in collecting data for a nursing assessment under the supervision of a nurse.

Responsibilities:

As part of a new transformational team care model to improve patient care and provide nurses and CNAs new opportunities and support, the nurse assistant will team with an experienced virtual RN (vRN) and a bedside RN to provide excellent patient care to patients in an acute care setting.
Daily responsibilities include direct patient care such as maintaining a safe patient environment, feeding, bathing, mobilizing patients, answering call lights, toileting, grooming care, one-to-one sitting for safety or behavioral reasons, taking vital signs, tracking intake and output with documenting values in an electronic health record.
