About the Job
The MDM Platform Owner will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability and alignment of our Master Data Management (MDM) platform with enterprise data management strategies. This role combines deep technical expertise with platform ownership accountability and a strong Product Owner mindset, driving the implementation, ongoing support and continuous enhancement of the MDM environment to meet Sanofi's evolving data needs. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between technical delivery and business value, acting as the voice of the product while maintaining hands-on technical mastery of the MDM platform.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Vision
Define, own and communicate the MDM platform product vision, roadmap and value proposition aligned with enterprise data strategy
Maintain and prioritize a structured product backlog, translating business needs and data governance requirements into actionable user stories and technical epics
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data owners and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding of priorities and expected outcomes
Define and track product KPIs and OKRs to measure platform adoption, data quality improvements and business impact
Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming and review ceremonies in collaboration with Agile/Scrum teams
Drive continuous discovery by gathering user feedback, conducting stakeholder interviews and identifying opportunities for platform improvement
Make informed prioritization decisions balancing technical debt, new capabilities and operational stability
Platform Ownership & Operations
Act as platform owner for the MDM system, accountable for platform availability, performance and operational excellence
Monitor system health, perform root cause analysis and proactively resolve performance issues
Support capacity planning, disaster recovery and backup strategies for Informatica MDM
Automate routine operational tasks using scripting to improve efficiency and reduce errors
Technical Implementation & Administration
Lead the deployment, configuration and administration of the MDM platform and all related components
Manage upgrades, patches and technical enhancements of the MDM platform in coordination with vendors and internal teams
Oversee the integration of the MDM platform with source and target systems, ensuring reliable data flows and synchronization
Participate in development cycles, coordinating with DevOps for integration related to MDM platform deployments
Governance, Security & Compliance
Work with the IT Security team to implement security controls, access management and data privacy policies on the platform
Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and compliance standards
Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, workflows and operational manuals
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience managing or administering the Informatica MDM platform in enterprise environments
Proven experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, ideally within a data platform or enterprise IT context
Demonstrated experience writing and managing product backlogs, user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe or equivalent)
Hands-on experience with database technologies and data integration techniques
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting complex MDM workflows and batch processes
Technical Skills
Strong expertise with MDM Hub, Informatica MDM SaaS, CDI and Informatica Data Quality tools
Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modelling and metadata management
Knowledge of cloud platforms and hybrid data architecture
Understanding of data governance, security standards and regulatory compliance related to data management
Product Owner Skills
Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent for backlog and sprint management
Strong ability to write clear, concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, roadmap reviews and product demos
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa
Skilled in value-based prioritization frameworks (e.g. MoSCoW, WSJF, RICE)
Experience defining and tracking product metrics, adoption KPIs and data quality indicators
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a global, matrixed organization
Strong ownership mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
Confident decision-maker able to balance competing priorities under ambiguity
Natural collaborator and servant leader who empowers delivery teams
Preferred Skills
Informatica certifications (e.g. Informatica MDM Developer or Administrator)
Experience in a platform owner or technical lead role overseeing Informatica MDM
Knowledge of Informatica Cloud services and hybrid deployment models
Familiarity with API integrations and service orchestration related to MDM
Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. pharma, life sciences) with compliance-driven product delivery

The salary range for this position is :€49 600,00 - €66 133
Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
