The Position
The Medical function serves as a critical engine ensuring our innovations reach their full potential for patients with an end-to-end perspective. The role of the Medical Science Partner is designed to maximize local medical and scientific activities to accelerate the delivery of our pipeline, differentiate our portfolio based on data, drive strategic advocacy, community engagement, medical practice adoption, and access to our portfolio.
As the Medical Science Partner, you aim to shape medical practice, building experience and strategic advocacy that results in lasting preference and differentiation for our products and best outcomes for patients. The Medical Science Partner is a trusted, externally focused (70% field allocation), scientifically grounded partner that builds and maintains deep and trusted connections externally generating impact by anticipating and proactively optimizing medical practice and ensure that Roche is a preferred partner in our key disease areas.
As the Medical Science Partner, you will be responsible for
Proactively contributing strong scientific and therapeutic area expertise within the relevant diseases informing differentiation of our pipeline and portfolio. Acting as a medical expert for the pipeline and portfolio throughout the product life cycle.
Provide current, high-quality Medical Education and differentiate scientific information to external customers, support the scientific training of internal teams.
Conduct high-quality, non-promotional Scientific Exchanges to disseminate relevant data,
Based on aligned goals in the team, the Medical Science Partner, should systematically collect, analyze, and translate external scientific and clinical practice insights (including patient perspectives) into actionable and differentiating recommendations for the team.
Collection of Insights through extensive field presence, scientific discussions and medical activities.
Building high value-added continuing medical education in the DA for external stakeholders
Integrate Medical activities into a unified and personalized customer engagement leveraging data-driven, omnichannel engagement
Ensure all medical activities, including customer engagements, research projects, and material co-creation, are executed in line with company policies, procedures, and the highest compliance standards. This includes strict adherence to corporate policies, ethical behavior, local regulatory requirements as well as Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP).
Contribute directly to the local evidence strategy, proactively identifying local differentiating evidence gaps, and facilitating the development and implementation of differentiating tactics to address the prioritized gaps.
Management of Medical Information Enquiries, Safety Queries and other significant safety information/crisis management
Fostering meaningful partnerships with healthcare professionals, patients and organizations and identify/develop science-driven collaborations.
Contributing Medical Affairs expertise to patient support and/or compassionate use programs across the DA portfolio as appropriate
Competencies
Skills and Experience:
You have relevant experience within a Medical Affairs role in Pharmaceutical, Health Sciences, Biotechnology or other related fields.

Experience in Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroscience Valued
Expertise & Location
Preferred Qualifications:
Completed Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Natural Sciences degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
Prior experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or equivalent scientific/clinical expertise in a relevant Disease Area.
You will be based in UAE and be responsible for UAE only.
