Assistant Vice President, Financial Accountant
Financial Control Department - Accounting Section, Hong Kong
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial statements including Head Office reporting (J-GAAP, US-GAAP, BASEL III), regulatory reports and variance analysis
Produce monthly management accounts and perform month-end closing activities
Perform daily account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding or unusual items
Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
Implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant regulations
Support ad hoc projects and assignments as required
Job Requirements:
University degree in accounting
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry
Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting with ability to work independently
Solid expertise in treasury accounting and global markets products, including FX and derivatives
Strong analytical skills and sound business acumen
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
Detail-oriented, deadline-driven and self-motivated
