Job Overview
The Sr. Manager, HCC Nordics Cluster serves as the Healthcare Compliance Officer for the Nordics region, providing end‑to‑end strategic and operational compliance leadership for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. This role partners closely with cluster & country business leadership, Legal, business and functional stakeholders, and regional and global Compliance teams to promote ethical business conduct, effective risk management, and compliance with applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and company policies.
This is a high‑impact leadership role supporting multiple countries within a complex and highly regulated environment. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding DePuy Synthes’ reputation while enabling compliant, sustainable business growth across the Nordics markets.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary Healthcare Compliance Officer for the Nordics countries.
Lead the development and execution of healthcare compliance strategies aligned with global and regional priorities.
Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks related to commercial, promotional, professional education, and other business and operational activities.
Provide proactive, practical compliance guidance to country and regional business leaders to support ethical decision‑making.
Partner with Legal and cross‑functional stakeholders to embed effective compliance controls into business processes and go‑to‑market models.
Oversee core compliance program elements, including training, monitoring, risk assessments, and issue management activities.
Support and coordinate compliance‑related investigations, audits, and interactions with regulators or health authorities, in partnership with Legal.
Monitor regulatory developments, industry codes, and enforcement trends across the Nordics to anticipate emerging risks.
Prepare and present compliance risk assessments, insights, and recommendations to country, regional, and senior leadership.
Champion a strong culture of integrity, accountability, and speak‑up across the region.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Preferred: Advanced degree or professional certification in Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Ethics.
Experience and Skills
Required:
8–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes applicable across the Nordics (e.g., MedTech Europe, national codes).
Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex, multi‑country compliance programs.
Proven ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage risk in a pragmatic, business‑focused manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Preferred:
Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or broader life sciences industries.
Prior experience supporting compliance programs in Nordic markets within a global organization.
Familiarity with compliance monitoring, investigations, remediation, and audits.
Experience operating in highly matrixed, multicultural environments.
Strong change management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing capabilities.
Other
Languages: Fluency in English required; one or more Nordic language preferred.
Travel: Up to 20–30%, primarily within the Nordics, with some regional EMEA travel.
Certifications: Compliance, legal, or ethics certifications preferred but not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
kr722,000.00 - kr1,244,300.00
