Job Overview
The Manager, HCC Greece supports healthcare compliance activities for Greece, helping ensure ethical business conduct and adherence to applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and company policies for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. This role partners closely with country leadership, Legal, business and functional stakeholders, and regional and global Compliance teams to identify and manage compliance risks while enabling sustainable business growth.
This position plays an important role in strengthening a culture of integrity and accountability across a highly regulated market, while gaining exposure to complex, multi‑country compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support healthcare compliance activities for Greece, serving as a key point of contact for country compliance matters.
Assist in the execution of healthcare compliance strategies aligned with global and regional priorities.
Identify, assess, and help manage compliance risks related to commercial, promotional, professional education, and other business activities.
Provide practical guidance to business partners on healthcare compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to help embed compliance controls into business processes and go‑to‑market models.
Support core compliance program elements, including training, monitoring, risk assessments, and issue management activities.
Collaborate with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits, and interactions with regulators or health authorities.
Track regulatory developments and industry trends in Greece and escalate emerging risks as appropriate.
Contribute to the preparation of compliance risk assessments, insights, and updates for country and regional leadership.
Promote a strong culture of integrity, accountability, and speak‑up across the markets supported.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Preferred: Advanced degree or professional certification in Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Ethics‑related disciplines.
Experience and Skills
Required:
5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or related fields.
Working knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and industry codes applicable in Greece and/or the broader EMEA region (e.g., MedTech Europe, national codes).
Experience supporting country‑level compliance programs or compliance initiatives within a regulated industry.
Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to identify and escalate risks appropriately.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a matrixed organization.
Preferred:
Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or the broader life sciences industry.
Prior experience supporting compliance programs within a global organization.
Exposure to compliance monitoring, investigations, remediation, or audits.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Other
Language: Fluency in English required; Greek or other relevant regional language skills preferred.
Travel: Up to 20–30%, primarily to Greece, with some regional travel.
Certifications: Compliance, legal, or ethics certifications preferred but not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€52,500.00 - €89,240.00
