Senior Registered Children's Nurse Kings Oak & Cavell Hospitals 20 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £51,000.00 FTE per year(depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Children's Nurse to join their team of staff in the Paediatric department.
This is a part-time role for 20 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Deliver safe, evidence-based care to children and young people with a wide range of acute and long-term health needs.
Carry out comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes in collaboration with the wider team.
Respond effectively to changes in clinical condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation.
Work in partnership with families and carers to ensure care is responsive, inclusive, and emotionally supportive.
Provide clear, age-appropriate information to children and families regarding treatment, procedures, and discharge planning.
Act as an advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in the care process.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Registered Children’s Nurse with valid NMC registration.
Substantial post-registration experience in paediatric nursing.
Proven ability to coordinate care and support junior staff.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family-centred care principles.
Experience in a senior or team leader role.
Mentorship or Practice Assessor qualification.
PILS/APLS certification.
Experience in a paediatric specialty (e.g. surgery, oncology, critical care, ambulatory care).
Familiarity with private healthcare pathways or elective paediatric services.
