Quality Inspector III - Manufacturing

Our team is expanding, and we are currently hiring a Quality Inspector III – Manufacturing, The Quality Inspector III is responsible for supporting assembly and module-build quality activities for semiconductor equipment, assemblies, subassemblies, and components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, build documentation, workmanship standards, and quality requirements. This role focuses on in-process and module inspections throughout assembly operations. This role will contribute to the effective management of the environmental, health and safety program at Axcelis’ semiconductor equipment manufacturing facility in Beverly MA.
Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in manufacturing, electronics, mechanical inspection, or a related field preferred.
Typically 3–5 years of experience in assembly quality, module-build quality, manufacturing quality, or precision inspection in semiconductor, electronics, or similar high-technology industries.
Strong experience supporting quality verification for complex mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic assemblies and module builds.
Proficiency in the use of standard inspection and measurement tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications in Imperial and Metric.
Working knowledge of dimensional inspection, visual inspection, and basic electrical inspection methods.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively across functions.
Demonstrate compliance with ESD, cleanroom, safety, and handling requirements applicable to semiconductor equipment manufacturing.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$28.34 - $42.50
This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
