YOUR ROLE
Acting as the global lead for Materials, ensuring strategy is implemented and adopted across all regions and teams;
Leading CAPEX investment consolidation related to materials;
Managing and adjusting the global materials budget in line with organizational needs;
Overseeing development of global materials capabilities and competencies, ensuring efficient resource utilization;
Building and scaling the organization (hiring, structuring, and developing teams aligned with growth plans);
Managing and mentoring a global team of materials engineers;
Ensuring high-quality materials engineering services aligned with business requirements;
Supporting global footprint planning initiatives;
Setting and tracking annual objectives for the Global Materials Team within a matrix organization;
Maintaining and continuously improving the Materials Handbook;
Coordinating and collaborating across all regions and cross-functional teams (including Cordset);
Identifying and developing strategic opportunities for collaboration within Versigent to drive synergies;
Building partnerships with external organizations (e.g., universities, software and hardware vendors);
Developing and managing a strategic vendor portfolio; negotiating material management tool packages;
Driving the adoption of innovative material management concepts and tools;
Fostering collaboration across global teams to share best practices and insights;
Leading the long-term development and vision for materials expertise within the organization;
Acting as the main point of contact for all material management initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments and regions;
Preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership with key insights and recommendations;
Collaborating closely with engineering, product development, operations, and IT to integrate materials tools into processes;
Driving initiatives to improve materials competencies while reducing development costs;
Ensuring compliance with Versigent standards and applicable quality management system requirements;
Managing, evaluating and developing team members within a matrix organization;
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and professional development;
Ensuring timely execution of tasks in line with the quality standards of Versigent and the Technical Center in Kraków
YOUR BACKGROUND
Engineering degree;
5 year experience as a manager; automotive industry background would be an asset;
Very good Microsoft Office skills;
Fluent English, German would be an asset;
Mobility.
